DIABETES PREVENTION PROGRAM

Each year we offer the CDC’s PreventT2 lifestyle change program guided by a trained lifestyle coach.

This program is designed for individuals with prediabetes. It’s also for people who are at high risk for type 2 diabetes and want to lower their risk. 

This program promotes modest weight loss (5-7%) and increased physical activity through a 12 month lifestyle change program and also uses literature on self-efficacy, physical activity, and diet. 

During the first 6 months of the program, participants will learn how to get active, eat well and diet plan, coping mechanisms, and tracking progress.

During the last 6 months of the program, participants will learn how to maintain their new lifestyle, additional diet tools, the importance of sleep, and how to get back on track when you get off track. 

Program participants will meet weekly on Thursdays at 5:00 PM beginning January 2021.

The cost is $126 Members or $176 for Non Members. During the first 16 weeks of the program, Non Members will receive a membership to the Y with their program fee.
